Join Evergreen, Family Tree’s monthly giving program. By giving what you can each month, you’re making the biggest possible impact by helping to sustain our vital work.

Here’s how it works:

• There are no tiers in Evergreen – all monthly donors receive the same benefits, so you can give at a level that’s most comfortable to you and your budget.

• Once signed up, you’ll get an intro letter, then monthly emailed receipts. For your records, we’ll email you a PDF summing the previous year’s donations in January.
• Monthly giving is impactful and easy. Family Tree Clinic processes your gift automatically each month, so you don’t have to think about it. 

You can change the amount, stop giving or take a break at any time by emailing evergreen@familytreeclinic.org.

You can double your impact by asking your employer if they offer matching gifts for charitable donations. They may need the following info: Family Tree, Inc. (dba Family Tree Clinic) is a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization with the EIN (tax ID) number 23-7133742.

Organizing an online fundraiser for Family Tree Clinic is fast and easy, and a great way to maximize your impact by engaging your friends and networks in supporting Family Tree. It only takes a few minutes.

Here are a few platforms you can use:

Fundraise through GiveMN:

• Go to our GiveMN page and click the “Fundraise” button.
• You’ll need to sign up for an account on the site, if you haven’t already. You’ll receive an email to verify your account. Then, follow the easy steps to edit your campaign.
• Share the campaign with your followers using your unique URL.

Fundraise through Facebook:

• Login to Facebook.
• On the left, click fundraiser heart coin Fundraisers.
• Tip: If you don’t see Fundraisers on the left, then click See more.
• On the left, click Raise money.
• Click Nonprofit.
• Type Family Tree Clinic into the search bar (FamilyTreeClinic), then select
• On the left, enter:
  • The goal amount of money you want to raise
  • The currency you want the funds to be in
• Click Create.
• You’ll see a screen pop up where you can invite your friends to donate to your fundraiser, share your fundraiser in your feed, or donate to the fundraiser yourself.

Share our Venmo in other places:

• In the search bar handle, search our handle @FamilyTreeClinic (Family Tree, Inc.)
• Click on our Charity Profile with the verified blue check mark
• Share our profile clicking “…” at the left top of the page

You may also use the DAF Direct widget below. DAF Direct currently facilitates grant recommendations from donors of Fidelity Charitable®, Schwab Charitable®, and the BNY Mellon Charitable Gift Fund®. More national and community foundation DAF sponsoring organizations may be added in the future.

If you are managing required minimum distributions from an IRA, you can often receive tax benefits by making a charitable gift (called a Qualified Charitable Distribution) directly from your IRA. A gift of stock is a great way to support Family Tree Clinic in cultivating healthy communities. You may ask your financial planner or tell your broker to donate the stock to Family Tree, Inc. Our brokerage firm is Charles Schwab. The account number is 3011-2643.

 Please notify us of your intent to transfer stock by calling our Finance and HR Director at 612-473-0812.

If you hold securities in “street name”—that is, you do not have physical possession of the stock certificate—please notify your broker to initiate a “broker to broker” transfer. To avoid capital gains tax, make sure that the securities are transferred to our account before they are sold.

Create a lasting legacy with planned giving today! Planned giving is about finding smart ways for you to make larger gifts than you imagined possible, and to do it in ways that best fit your needs and work well both for you and for Family Tree Clinic.

There are many ways you can make a planned gift:

• Will bequests and revocable trust agreement provisions
• Beneficiary designations of retirement accounts and life insurance policies
• Payable on Death (POD) designations for bank accounts and Transfer on Death (TOD) designations for stock portfolios

If you already have a will, you can add a charitable gift by contacting your financial attorney or financial plannerand sharing the following: “I bequeath $____ or ____% of my estate to Family Tree, Inc.
