The vaginal ring (NuvaRing) is a form of contraception through a flexible, rubber vaginal ring. It is used to prevent pregnancy with a combination of progestin and estrogen. The ring is inserted into the vagina and release a continuous low dose of hormones into the body for three weeks. It is then removed for a one-week, ring-free period.
