Kathleen “Kadie” Fredell, RN

• Personal profile: “I love my job as the Nurse Manager for Family Tree Clinic and am blessed to work with such a passionate health care team!  After graduating from the University of Minnesota’s Master of Nursing program in 2008, I worked for two years as a Labor and Delivery nurse and then another two years as a Clinic and Triage Nurse for Planned Parenthood.  I think that understanding how our bodies function is empowering and providing patient education one of the things I enjoy the most.  Prior to going to nursing school, I received a BA in Economics and Social Justice Studies, was the director of a homeless shelter in Texas, and served as the volunteer manager at Ten Thousand Villages in St. Paul.  Outside of work, I spend a lot of time canoeing, gardening, tending to my Australian Shepard and honeybees, hosting backyard barbeques and bonfires, and following Big Ten basketball. “

Alison Warford, M.D.

• Personal profile: Alison Warford, MD, Medical Director, graduated from Wright State University School of Medicine as a family practice doctor. She completed a fellowship in adolescent medicine at the University of Minnesota and Hennepin County Medical Center. Dr. Warford is Assistant Professor in the Department of Pediatrics and Adolescent Medicine at the University of Minnesota, Medical Provider & Medical Director at Face to Face Health and Counseling Services, and Medical Provider at CUHCC (Community-University Health Care Center). Dr. Warford joined Family Tree Clinic in May of 2009.

• Personal Profile: “I love working in women’s health! In particular, I enjoy teaching both women and men about their health needs and lifestyle choices. In addition to my work at Family Tree, I work at a local Public Health Agency providing education and support to pregnant and parenting teenagers and I teach nursing at Saint Catherine University. While I enjoy working with women of all ages, I do have a special interest in adolescent health. Outside of work, I enjoy numerous activities: running, volleyball, water skiing, hiking, biking, gardening and reading. My most favorite activity is spending time with family and friends.”

• Personal Profile: “I’ve worked at Family Tree since 1993 and feel fortunate to work with a staff that truly cares about its mission: to serve our patients and our community. I live in St. Paul, and feel connected to my neighborhood, and the cultural life of the Twin Cities. I volunteer as a costume and mask maker for both a local elementary school and the May Day Parade. I love to be outside – camping, gardening and hiking – or in my basement making mosaics. I’m happiest when my house is full of kids.”
